Starting July 6 many City offices will reopen to the public. Others will continue to operate in a more hybrid style. PHDC will continue to provide services by remote features, internet or phone. Where necessary, in person meetings by appointment are available.
Federal CDC Eviction Moratorium EXPIRED on July 31, 2021
The federal eviction moratorium has expired; if you are at risk of eviction you can contact Philly Tenant Hotline for advice at http://www.phillytenant.org/ or 267-443-2500. Phase 4 of Philadelphia’s emergency rental assistance program is still open and accepting applications. Apply today! Note that applying for rental assistance does not prevent landlords from filing evictions or the courts from issuing lock outs. However, once a landlord receives a rental assistance payment, there are some protections against eviction during the period for which assistance is provided and for 90 days afterwards. Review the Phase 4 FAQ for more information on landlord requirements.
