Social Impact

Social impact refers to the way in which a physical project, like a housing development, can have a positive effect on people and the community. When PHDC reviews development proposals it considers the social impact a project may have.

That social impact may take place in a variety of ways. It might support new jobs, goods and services in the community. It could mean affordable homes. It could be improved neighborhood amenities or new partnerships that improve the quality of life.

By considering social impact PHDC is leveraging public land into an improved neighborhood for all residents.
