If the sale of vacant property advances the City’s goals, public agencies may sell a property outside of a competitive process. Those goals could be supporting new jobs at a neighborhood business, providing land for affordable housing, creating a community garden, or offering a side or rear yard to a resident.
Land for Affordable Housing
By making public land available at a lower cost, PHDC supports housing affordable to low- and moderate-income families.
Community gardens help residents get to know each other, manage stormwater and help provide fresh food to neighbors.
